The Miracle of the Qur’an’s Mathematical Coding
Never, through all of History and in all times, has the Almighty Given the same Miracles to His Messengers. Each have had different ones — Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. The Miracle of Muhammad, the last of His Prophets, has been the Qur’an (10:20) and yet to come.
10:20 “They say, ‘How come no Miracle came down to him from his Lord?’ Say, ‘The unseen is only for All’h, wait then, and I shall wait with you.’”
Time, the leader, was the factor in bringing the Miracle of Prophet Muhammad today, after 14 centuries, through science by revealing the Evidence of His Word, the mathematical Miracle of the Qur’an. For this Second Inauguration of the Qur’an through the FurQan, God Almighty has first Manifested the Miracle of the mathematical coding of the Book, to Assure people concerning:
– The divine authenticity of the Qur’an
– The preservation of the Book during the last 14 centuries
The Qur’an is mathematically constructed
In Tucson Arizona, in 1974, Dr. Rashad Khalifa discovered the mathematical Miracle. He was assassinated in the year 1990 (May the Almighty Bless his soul). Dr. Khalifa, a biologist and at that time director of the Chemical Institute of Phoenix, AZ, was of Egyptian origin. He realized in 1968 that the existing translations of the Qur’an, did not present the truthful Message of God. So, he decided to translate the Qur’an himself, and vowed to God he would not overlook anything he did not understand.
His work was stopped at the second surah which begins with the initials A.L.M. During the next years of research on these initials, that had remained a mystery for the last 1400 years, nobody knew anything about them but that they were the Secret of the Qur’an. This is how he began to search in the only surah by such a name inside the Qur’an, surah 74, Al Muddathir “The Enveloped, The Concealed.” God Willed that he be enlightened by verses (29-30) concerning a mathematical coding with the common denominator of (19). The initials in the Qur’an, constitute the basis of this coding.
74:29 “Signaling for the humans,”
74:30 “Over it are 19.”
Then (32-33 of the same surah) It is not so and (by) the Moon and the Night that:
74:35 “This is one of the Great Miracles,”
74:36 “As a Warning for the humans.”
The common denominator 19 is in surah 74, and the year that this Miracle became manifest on Earth was 1974. This is an awesome Miracle. Those who want to fully benefit from the Knowledge of the Qur’an must pass by the gate of its Proof. Below is a very brief and condensed explanation of some of the simple facts of the Miracle of the Qur’an. The intricate and complex part is extremely vast and awesome.
The Qur’an is unlike any human-authored book in that every part is written in accord with certain mathematical principles. It is mathematically constructed: the surahs (chapters of the Qur’an) the verses, the words, the number of certain letters, the number of words from the same root, the number and variety of divine names, the unique spelling of certain words, the absence or deliberate alteration of certain letters within certain words and many other elements of the Qur’an besides its content. the Qur’an’s mathematical structure employs two major elements:
- The literary composition itself
- The designated numbers of surahs and verses
In a sense, the Qur’an incorporates mathematical codes that can be used to detect any alteration of its text. Any kind of falsification will be revealed. The basic math is simple enough for most people to easily understand and verify yet intricate enough to be no less than a math miracle. Much of the mathematical coding of the Qur’an is easy enough to do in your head or with pencil and paper. Some of the more complex equations require a computer to resolve. The following facts, as discovered by Dr. Rashad Khalifa, may be verified without any special tools:
- The first verse (1:1) known as Basmalah consists of 19 letters.
- The Qur’an consists of 114 surahs, 19 x 6.
- The total number of verses in the Qur’an is 6346 or 19 x 334 (6234 numbered verses and 112 unnumbered verses Basmalah 6234 + 112 = 6346) Note that 6 + 3 + 4 + 6 = 19.
- The Basmalah occurs 114 times, despite its notable absence from surah 9 (it occurs twice in surah 27) and 114 = 19 x 6.
- From the missing Basmalah of surah 9 to the extra Basmalah of surah 27, there are precisely 19 surahs.
- It follows that the total of the surahs numbers from 9 to 27 (9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + … + 26 + 27) is 342 or 19 x 18.
- This total (342) also equals the number of words between the two Basmalah of surah 27, and 342 = 19 x 18.
- The well-known first revelation (96:1-5) consists of 19 words.
- This 19 worded first revelation consists of 76 letters 19 x 4.
- Surah 96, first in the chronological sequence, consists of 19 verses.
- This first chronological surah is placed above the last 19 surahs.
- Surah 96 consists of 304 Arabic letters, and 304 equals 19 x 16.
- The last revelation (surah 110) consists of 19 words.
- The first verse of the last revelation (110:1) consists of 19 letters.
- Fourteen different Arabic letters, from 14 different sets of Qur’anic initials such as (A.L.M., of 2:1) and prefix 29 surahs, to these numbers add up to 14 + 14 + 29 = 57 = 19 x 3.
- The total of the 29 surah numbers where the Quranic initials occur is 2 + 3 + 7 + … + 50 + 68 = 822 + 14 (sets of initials) = 836 = 19 x 44.
- Between the first initialed surah (surah 2) and the last initialed surah (surah 68) there are 38 un-initialed surahs 19 x 2
- Between the first and last initialed surah there are 19 sets.
- The Qur’an mentions 30 different numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10, 11, 12, 19, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 99, 100, 200, 300, 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 50,000, and 100,000. The sum of these numbers is 162146, which equals 19 x 8534.
These facts form the basis of understanding greater complexities in the Qur’an.
Another fact as an example
The total number of occurrences of the word “God” (All’h) is 2698 or 19 x 142.
The numbers of all the verses where the word “God” occurs, added together, total 118,123, also a multiple of 19 (118123 = 19 x 6217).
Concerning the adjectif noun “Zol Fazl al-Azeem” :
Its real meaning was concealed for 14 Centuries, until the mathematical coding of the Qur’an revealed that it was “the Great quality Name of All’h”! The gematrical value of this Name is 2698, it is the same as the number of times “All’h” is Mentioned in the Qur’an, 2698. The word “Fazl” (Bounty), relates mostly with “knowledge”; thus “Zol Fazl al-Azeem” means: Lord Possessor of the Great Bounty. And as such Bounty is related to the Qur’an and its mathematical coding, then its meaning would be: “Bestowing the Bountiful knowledge of the Word, intertwined with mathematics and gematrical estimation”. So, the Great Bounty is to reach and find out the knowledge of the Word, mathematically and gematrically/ the FurQan; and such knowledge, God Gives it to whom He Wants. No human being(s) could have kept track of 2698 occurrences of the word “God” and the numbers of verses where they occur. In fact, these numbers provide incontrovertible proof that the Qur’an is God’s Message to the world. No human author could have devised such coding because:
- The Qur’an was revealed in a time of general ignorance of such matters.
- The surahs and verses were revealed widely separated in time and place.
The final format of the Qur’an differs greatly from the chronological order of revelation. The Qur’an’s mathematical system is not limited to occurrences of the word “God.” It is much larger and more intricate. It is, in fact, fully comprehensive.
This has been a very brief and simplified exposition of the facts of the Qur’an’s Miracle. The intricate and complex truth is far vaster and more awesome. For instance, the number representing the whole Qur’an is a multiple of 19 and consists of 12,692 digits, itself a multiple of 19. Moreover, the following are what I found concerning some numbers and digits:
The Qur’an in its entirety (114 surahs) descended on Earth through Prophet Muhammad and remained a Guidance for people for 14 centuries. Why 14 centuries? And why 114 surahs? Everything from God has a reason behind it.
Through mathematics we know that 19 hexagons is a unit of measuring space/superficies (19 x 6/hexagons = 114); and hexagonal/6 is the sign of our Universe (human cell). In fact, the number “114,” not only is showing the space of the Qur’an, the total number of containing surahs, but also the space in General, such as the space of our Universe, the space of the Earth or the whole space of intellect, mind, and human need. But this is not the only reason for 114, and the Work of God is only Magnificent and all Perfection. 114 indicates also:
- The kind of surah in the Book
- The levels of Knowledge of the Book
- The Time of Prophet Muhammad with the Book
- And the Time of (after Muhammad) the second Opening of the Book/the Qur’an
Such as:
- 114 indicates two stages of numbers, the stage of “ten” and the stage of “hundred” (stage of part and whole), thus, indicating two sorts/kinds of surahs in the Book:
- The 29 Initialed surahs, with the particular characteristic of 14 initial letters, being part of the whole
- The remaining 85 surahs without initials, making the whole
- 114 indicates two levels of Knowledge: 14% Knowledge and 100% Knowledge: We could say that 14 centuries ago, science and Knowledge had attained only 14% of its growth, so a little Knowledge of the Qur’an was Revealed to people at that time. From now on, the century of 100%, science will cover or attain the entirety of its knowledge. The Qur’an Opens the gates of Its 100% Knowledge for the whole world.
- 114 indicates the space of time bestowed to Prophet Muhammad with the Qur’an, 14 centuries: (a seven of the two and two 7×2 and 00 = 1400, and the great Qur’an mentioned above)
- Today at the start of the 15th (1 + 14) century (lunar year), we are entering the era of after Muhammad and until the end of the world.
114 (1 + 14 = 15), the 15th century of the Qur’an, the time of the second Opening and overture of the whole Knowledge for humans. In the 15th century, being the time of electronics and the computer, science will attain 100% of the knowledge, due to humankind in this world. So does the Qur’an, Opening the gate of Its full Knowledge for a world of advanced intellectual power. Surah 15 of the Qur’an is called Al-Hijr “The Power of Intellect.” At the time of Prophet Muhammad, this word was considered to be the name of a valley, but its real significance is the power of Intellect.
