What about Cutting off the Thief\u2019s Hand?<\/h1>\n

Q: What about cutting off the thief\u2019s hand in the<\/span> Qur\u2019an<\/em>?<\/span><\/h6>\n

A: The practice of cutting off the thief\u2019s hand, as decreed by false Muslims is a satanic practice without basis in the Qur’an<\/em>. Due to the importance of this, God has Provided mathematical proof in support of marking the hand of the thief, not severing it. Verse 12:31 refers to the women who so admired Joseph that they cut their hands. Obviously, they did not cut off their hands. No normal person could do that.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sum of surah<\/span> and verse numbers are the same for: 5:38 and 12:31, i.e. = 43.<\/span><\/p>\n

5:38 \u201cAnd the thief, male or female, cut their hands, a punishment they earned, a way of example from All\u2019h, and All\u2019h Is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

12:31 \u201cWhen she heard of their malicious talk, she sent for them, and prepared a banquet for them, then she gave each of them a knife, and she said (to Joseph)<\/span><\/span>, \u2018Come out before them.\u2019 When they saw him, they did extol him, and (in their amazement)<\/span><\/span> they cut their hands, they said, \u2018All\u2019h Preserve us, no mortal (man)<\/span><\/span> is this. This is no other but a noble angel.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the Will and Mercy of God that this mathematical relationship conforms to the Qur\u2019an<\/i>\u2019s 19-based code. Nineteen verses after 12:31, we see the same word (12:50)<\/span><\/span>. Some of the Qur\u2019anic<\/i> particularities must be recalled. Refer to the FurQan<\/em><\/i> for details. One of the most important aspects of the Qur\u2019anic statements to be taken into consideration, that indicates time<\/span> and condition<\/span> of a Commandment is by the way the people are Addressed, i.e.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cO you the believers. \u2026 O you the unbelievers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Such a statement at the beginning of a verse, addresses people of the present time, therefore they must follow the present law and jurisdiction of the country of their residency.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cO you who believed \u2026 did not believe\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Present and past tense \u2014 such a statement concerns people of present and passed, therefore each would be, and was, under the jurisdiction of their own time and residency.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a general rule in the<\/span> Qur\u2019an: any commandment starting with the above statements, places the people concerned, under the law and jurisprudence of their own time<\/span> and residency.<\/span><\/p>\n

2:58 \u201cAnd (remember)<\/span><\/span> when We Said, \u2018Enter this town and eat of the plenty therein as you wish and enter the gate reverencing (honoring\/respecting)<\/span><\/span>, and speak humbly, We Forgive your faults and Increase (the portion\/Blessings\/for)<\/span><\/span> those who do good.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This verse, obviously, is a Commandment about following the rules and regulations of the town you reside in, there from enjoying your needs for living, entering the gate of a town reverencing, means to incline the head to the rules of the town, and being humble toward its people, and by being righteous and doing good in there, their portion would increase.<\/span><\/p>\n

The punishment for thieves depends on the jurisprudence of the time and the country of residency. The word in the Qur\u2019an<\/em> does not mean amputating, but only slightly cutting by marking.<\/p>\n
